Designer who notices the smallest details before anyone else does.
In short
Product Designer & Project Manager. Building thoughtful digital products with small teams, Vancouver & HK.
A few ideas,
some thoughtful products.
I’m Jay, a product designer based in Vancouver, focused on creating digital experiences that feel clear, intentional, and easy to use. My background in Interactive Arts & Technology shaped how I approach design: balancing usability, visual storytelling, and real human behavior.
The work I gravitate toward often sits between product design and strategy, interfaces that need to solve problems, not just look polished. I’m especially drawn to platforms, internal tools, community products, and ideas that could become something bigger with the right direction.
I’ve worked across UI/UX, branding, research, and prototyping with small teams, building concepts from early ideas into functional experiences. Whether it’s refining a user flow, shaping a product vision, or improving overlooked details, I care about making things people genuinely enjoy using.
Outside of design, I’m usually exploring new ideas, studying markets, capturing photos, or thinking about the next thing worth building.
Three principles
I actually design by.
-
01
Build early, learn quickly, improve faster.
I’d rather test a rough prototype than spend weeks discussing ideas in theory. Even a simple wireframe or clickable flow reveals more than endless planning ever will.
-
02
Design for real people, not assumptions.
Good design starts with understanding how people actually think, behave, and hesitate. I value research, observation, and honest feedback because users will always show you what the screen can’t.
-
03
Obsess over the details others skip.
Small things shape the whole experience, spacing, wording, states, transitions, clarity. I believe the strongest products are often defined by the little decisions most people never notice.
